1. Herb Gardening Marker
Inscription.  Herb gardening is an ancient art that embraces our history and culture, and gives us a window on life in a frontier settlement. This herb garden is a memorial to Wandalea Smith, a dedicated herbalist whose own garden contained many of the more than thirty culinary and medicinal herbs seen here, all of which would likely have been found in western Pennsylvania two hundred years ago.
