The shark’s teeth on the pay load fairing on the Delta II rocket could only mean one thing – launch of a Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite for the U.S. Air Force. Over its nearly 30 years of service, Delta II rockets launched the first 48 operational GPS satellites.
