Dedication 2014

Michael Stanley Dukakis served as the 65th and 67th Governor of Massachusetts from 1975 to 1979 and from 1983 to 1991. He is the longest-serving Governor in Massachusetts history. He was the Democratic Party nominee for President of the United States in 1988 and is a Distinguished Professor of Political Science at Northeastern University.

He has been a tireless supporter of public transportation, and served as a member of the Amtrak Board from 1998 to 2003.
