Co-operative Summer
Camp Association

On June 21, 1925, Detroit-area people of Finnish descent purchased this land and built a summer camp where they could share the traditions of their native Finland. Summer activities included athletic contests, swimming programs, plays, and the annual celebration of Juhannus, the Finnish midsummer festival.
