1. Hitching Rings Marker
Inscription. These hitching rings were used by McMinn Countians to secure their horses while trading or attending to business. Accommodations for hitching horses were removed from around the square in 1922 to make way for the automobile.
 
Erected 1989 by McMinn County Historical Society.
