Inscription. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." - The Golden Rule

Founded by Michael Andrew Rooney, November 16, 1940. Golden Rule Insurance was originally headquartered in the Rooney home at 600 State St., Lawrenceville. History records that "Andy" and his wife Mary founded Golden Rule on the belief that no company could be successful without the public's trust. Mary Rooney died January 25, 1975 and Michael, June 21, 1976. The Company has achieved national prominence with offices throughout the United States.
