Inscription.
Name: Hoch House
Built: circa 1876
Built by: Henry and Lena Hoch
Original Location: Chesterfield Parkway at the rear of present day BP gas station (Walgreen's parking lot)
Facts:
• Henry Hoch was a brick maker by trade and his home is the Village's only brick house. Henry later ran a general store called the Hoch Mercantile (later Rinkel's Market).
• Letta Hoch was related to Ludwig Mertz of the Mertz log home also located within Faust Historic Village.
• The house remained in the family until 1985.
