Inscription.

This award was presented to Zouhair Mardini and Mosaic Architecture for their demonstrated dedication to the true preservation and restoration of the historic features of the 901 First Street Building, ensuring that the additions were designed to complement the original structure while maintaining the historic streetscape and the historic mixed-use of a storefront business with residences on the second floor. This marker indicates the appreciation of the community for giving new life to a significant structure of the Snohomish Historic District's First Street architectural heritage.

[Historic photo caption reads]
The 901 First Street Building was home to Edwards Confectionary in the late 1930s, featuring Snohomish's own K & K Ice Cream. The building was also the Stage Depot for local bus service. The image captures the annual Memorial Day parade marching east on First Street.
