1. Shreveport's First Churches Marker is missing.
Inscription. In 1845 three of Shreveport’s first churches were organized within a four block span of Market Street: First Baptist at Travis and Market, SE; First Presbyterian, 600 block of Market, west side; and First United Methodist at Market and Fanning, SW. A joint service was held on this site October 15, 1995 commemorating one hundred fifty years of continuous ministries to Shreveport and its surrounding area. (Marker Number 485.)
