1. Grove's Mill Marker
Inscription.

Established in 1784 by John Baer, and operated continuously by the Chamberlain, Hoffa, and Whitmer families. Purchased by Harry Grove in 1945, and still operated by his descendents. The adjacent brick and stone structure continues to process grain. Powered by water diverted from Buffalo Creek, the operation utilizes two horizontally-mounted water wheels. A twin cell stone arch bridge spanned the mill race at this site until it was replaced in 2005.
