This marker is dedicated
to the group of Irish families
from Lindsay, Ontario Canada,
who settled here in the 1870’s.
The petition to incorporate as
a village was granted by
the Board of Supervisors of
Platte County on March 7, 1888.
The Centennial was held
July 1, 2, 3, 1988.
