1. The Soda Fountain Eatery Marker

Inscription. The building that houses the Soda Fountain Eatery was built in 1901. This building has only housed pharmacies until it was converted into a restaurant in 2012, and had only three owners over the past century or more.

The current establishment was preceded by Melton Drug, Connel's Rexall Drug Store, A&C Drug, Colbath Drug Store, and possibly originated with Dinkier Drug in 1901. ***Dinkler Drug was three doors west of First National Bank which is on the opposite side of the street.

The second story was added in the early 1900's, and was used as a residence and as a doctor's office. The original interior was restored in 1998, and includes the original twenty-five foot fountain and ornate tine ceiling.
