George's Department Store is Anadarko's oldest clothing and shoe store. It was opened in 1948 by George Salamy. For over 65 years, George made a tremendous impression upon the Anadarko Community and surrounding area.
This included state recognition such as the Governor's Commendation Award and being featured in "Is This A Great State or What?". This hometown tradition continues as the store has been passed on to George's children and is now celebrating 70 years in 2018!
When you walk into George's; life slows down with old fashion service, but with the current fashions you know from today. George's Department Store has name brand clothing and shoes for the entire family, infant to adult, specializing in athletic apparel.
