Inscription. On June 5, 1825, General Lafayette, abolitionist and human rights advocate, was escorted to Goat Island to see the falls.
 
Erected 2021 by William G. Pomeroy Foundation & NY Daughters of the American Revolution. (Marker Number 25.)
