1. Bangor Welsh Day Marker
Inscription.

For over 40 years, the Welsh community of the Slate Belt held an event on the property of this church known as Bangor Welsh Day. Beginning in 1930, the event brought thousands of visitors to the town from throughout the northeast U.S. for programs of music, orations and humor. Considered by many to be the largest event of its kind in the U.S., the highlight of the weekend was a "gymanfa ganu", a Welsh hymn-singing festival.

Erected 2017 by The St. David's Welsh Society of the Slate Belt.
