Inscription. The original structure that was built on this site in the 1800's, housed Ripberger Furniture. That building perished in the devastating fire of 1928 and the current building you see today was constructed in the 1940's. The original ornate commercial brick faηade melted away during the 1965 fire that destroyed the 3-story Winn Brothers Furniture Building across the street. Soon thereafter, a stucco faηade was added and the building was remodeled to accommodate the Coles Department Store, which occupied this space until the late 1990's. In 2011 the building underwent a full renovation and today houses Kim Moody Design, and the retail store trend.
