The house was torn down in the 1940s and the property subdivided. Hoyt Robinson sold this corner lot to Mather Furniture Co., a Gainesville firm which constructed a large furniture showroom in 1973. Larry Gee later opened a furniture business here.
In 2011, Randy Allen and Mary Thompson purchased the building and subdivided it into The Carriage House Shoppes in 2012.
