1. Fort Buchanan Marker
Inscription. In 1812, Colonel George Buchanan constructed a blockhouse to protect the Miami Valley. The fort was active until the unit was mustered out after the second signing of the Treaty of Geenville. It was then used as a place of refuge for the early settlers.
