. Alomar was the first Cleveland player to hit a home run in the All-Star Game since Rocky Colavito in 1959. Additionally, he was named MVP. Alomar was the first Indian to be so recognized and the first player in major-league history to win the award in his home park. “This is a dream I don’t want to wake up from,” said Alomar. “You probably only get one chance to play an All-Star Game in your home stadium.” (Submitted on October 15, 2021, by Cosmos Mariner of Cape Canaveral, Florida.)
