In tribute to the Airlifters of the United States Air Force who valiantly serve and gallantly died in support of this nations dedication to the principles of liberty and freedom.

Humanitarian airlift extends the olive branch of peace and hope to those in need. Combat airlift delivers the arrows of war against those who seek to destroy the United States of America or her allies.

Let the events inscribed here on remind all airlifts of their proud heritage and give them renewed strength to meet the challenges of the future.
