Regarding Clark Library. The library holds rare books and manuscripts with particular strengths in English literature and history. The library and its collections were built in 1926 by William Andrews Clark, Jr., who donated it to UCLA. He had a house on this property, which was demolished in the 1970s. His father was U.S. Senator William Andrews Clark Sr. who amassed a fortune in copper mining. The architect was Robert David Farquhar, who also designed the Fenyes House, Beverly Hills High School, and the California Club.
