The Streator Reds
Inscription.
The Semi-pro Streator Reds have a baseball history dating back to the 1880’s, having played Major League teams in exhibition games. In 1908, the Streator Reds beat the World Champion Chicago Cubs in an exhibition game after the World Series.

Born in Streator, IL on November 21, 1920, Mr. Blasco was inducted into Baseball’s Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY for his role in creating the Gold Glove Award in 1957.
