Dedicated 2021 to Corporal Kenneth C. Seamans, Factoryville Pa., lost after bailout of his stricken Martin B-10B bomber 15 miles northwest of Hill City, Kansas during a training flight from Lowry Field, Denver, Colorado, to Chanute Field, Rantoul, Illinois on 18 Dec 1939

Location. 39° 27.95′ N, 99° 39.99′ W. Marker is near Nicodemus, Kansas, in Graham County. Memorial is on X Road (Highway 571) one mile east of 360th Avenue (County Road 569), on the right when traveling east. 100 yards east of K-18 and U.S. 24 highway intersection to 360th. Ave. 7 miles north on 360th. Ave. to X Road, then 1 mile east on X Road. McFarland Cemetery in on the south side of X Road, and is not labeled. Stone is the furthest north in the cemetery, next to the stone honoring the B-17F crash. Gate will most likely be closed. If entering, please be sure to close and hook the gate before leaving the cemetery. Touch for map. Marker is in this post office area: Bogue KS 67625, United States of America. 1. Information pertaining to this memorial stone.
The dedication ceremony for this memorial stone, honoring Corporal Kenneth C. Seamans, was held at 1:30 pm CST on 10 October, 2021 in McFarland Cemetery, the Reverend Dewey E. Boss officiating. Cpl. Seamans was killed after bail-out of his stricken Martin B-10B bomber, in northwest Graham County during a dust storm on 18 December, 1939. Three other passengers survived the incident.

This memorial stone is placed next to the stone honoring the six men killed when their Boeing B-17F crashed north of Bogue (Graham County) on 2 February, 1943. Dedicating
