Inscription. Leon Henry Church, Sept 11,1906 -Nov. 8, 1983, for whom the Lebanon historical Boy Scout trail is named, for 44 years centered his life and work here at the Lebanon Advertiser. He founded the Lebanon Historical Society, led the drive to preserve Emerald Indian Mound, was a Boy Scout leader for 67 years, and, with his wife Helen, three times received the McKendree Collage Peter Akers Cup for outstanding alumni service to the college.
