Regarding Beechcraft Model 2000A Starship. In 1982, Beechcraft contracted with Scaled Composites to refine the design. The last Starship was produced in 1995 after 55 aircraft had been constructed. In 2003, Beechcraft said that supporting such a small fleet of airplanes was cost-prohibitive and began scrapping the aircraft.
