1. Tarleton Ranch House Marker
Inscription. John Tarleton, benefactor of the Stephenville college operated a 10,000-acre ranch in Erath and Palo Pinto counties in the 1880s and 1890s. John and David Laird donated this building which served as headquarters, and it was moved to this site in 1991.
