We hold in grateful remembrance
those who stepped from
the pursuits of peace in response
to the Call of their Country
and of Civilization,
and in the World War
1917-1919
offered themselves for
the maintenance of American Rights,
for the
preservation of American Ideals
and for the realization
of Humanity’s Hopes
[on north bridge railing]
Flint River Bridge
rededicated in 2015
to honor those in Dougherty County who have served their Country since World War I in order to preserve the Constitution of the United States of America safeguarding the principles of the Declaration of Independence which protects the People’s unalienable rights of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness
