1. Suggs Plaza Marker
Inscription. Named in honor of Col. John J. Suggs, USAF (Ret.). As president of Tiber Island Cooperative Homes, Inc. and its predecessor Tiber Island Residents' Organization from 1979-1983, Col. Suggs and Dr. Joyce Cook, Vice-President, directed the difficult conversion of Tiber Island apartments into the present cooperative community.

Tiber Island consists of four towers and a collection of townhouses. The towers are built in the Brutalist architectural style.
