1. Oak Grove School Marker
Inscription. The Oak Grove School operated on this site from 1953 to 1964, with educator Earl L. Pulley as principal. The school served African American elementary students from the Town of Herndon and surrounding areas of both Fairfax and Loudoun Counties. Prior to 1953, students attended a two-room wood frame school one half mile northeast of this location.
