Willson House
William D. Willson (1840-1917) came to Osgood in 1856, served as Indiana state legislator 1868 and joint representative 1872. The Willson Dairy, located south edge of Osgood, had the distinction of being the largest in the United States owned by one man. Willson served as first president of the Ripley County Bank, owned Osgood Flour Mill and stave business. His Queen Anne home was built in 1887 by Osgood architect John Andrews.

3. William D. Willson (1850-1917) Obituary
OSGOOD, Ind., March 28.William D. Willson, age seventy-six. died at his home here Saturday. Mr. Willson served two terms in the Indiana legislature. He was first elected in 1868 and again in 1876, representing Ripley and Jefferson counties. When a young man he was prosecuting attorney and had been a prominent attorney for many years. Lately he devoted himself to the dairy business, having one of the largest single-owned dairies in the United States, utilizing more than 1,200 acres of land. For many years, he was a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Cincinnati.
