At 9:38 a.m. September 11. 2001. American Airlines Flight 7 having departed from Dulles Airport in Virginia bound for Los Angeles was taken over by Islamic terrorists who crashed the plane into the Pentagon taking the lives of 184 people including Teresa "Teri" Martin of Millersville, Ohio.

On the morning of September 11, 2001, 40 strangers boarded United Flight 93 at Dulles Airport headed for Los Angeles they were men and women, executives and retirees, students and parents. Though seemingly different, they banded together to overcome an Islamic terrorist group who had taken over the plane and it is their collective act of bravery that remains as the core of Flight 93.

Todd M. Beamer
Caught up in the hijacking of Flight 93, Beamer tried to reach his wife, Lisa, by airfone. When the call was not connected, Beamer dialed "0" and reached an airfone customer service representative who says that Beamer calmly provided critical information about events on the plane and relayed messages for his pregnant wife and two sons, David and Drew. At Beamer's request the representative joined him in praying the lord's prayer. At the end of his call, he says she heard him say to others on the plane, "are you ready? okay, let's roll."

At 10:06 a.m. Flight 93 crashed near Shanksville, 80 miles southeast

really emphasizes that the terrorists were Muslim. Whatever the intent of the authors, it will read as exclusionist to Americans who are of the Muslim faith. Statistically speaking, Muslims are no more or less likely to be terrorists than any other religious group, although they are more likely to be targeted for hate crimes than Americans of other religious backgrounds.
