City of Highland Mayor Joseph R. Michaelis' vision for this park was to honor those who have served, some gave their lives for their community and country

The Highland American Legion Post 439 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5694 worked jointly to make the vision a reality.

Significant contributions from the City of Highland, Parks and Recreation and the following businesses played a critical role in the completion of this project
