in 1914, the Henry Levy House is a two and a half story Craftsman shingle-style house with Tudor influences. Henry Levy was the brother-in-law of Achille Levy, an early settler of Oxnard and founder of Bank of A. Levy. Henry Levy came from France in 1884 to join Achille Levy in the brokerage business. The estate spreads over three lots and includes the original outdoor fireplace made from rocks from the building of the Conejo Grade. The interior fireplaces are adorned with Batchelder tiles, which were used in many Craftsman houses in Southern California. The property is home to many old trees and California native plants, and is certified a Wildlife Habitat through The National Wildlife Federation. The Henry Levy House was designated Ventura County Historical Landmark No. 74 in 1982.
