Inscription. For over 80 years, upon this site stood the first permanent home in the Eagle Rock Valley, a wooden building with its high ceilings and red painted ship-lap siding, typical of rural Southern California. In the early days it was surrounded by a lush orchard, the fertile land was watered by the farm’s windmill. This landmark, built at the close of the pastoral Mexican era, witnessed the beginnings of the satellite age.

Erected 1965 by Mayfair Markets, and Eagle Rock Valley Historical Society.
