1. Log Cabin Marker
Inscription. This one-and-a-half story structure represents typical living conditions for the poor during the slavery and post-slavery eras. Slaves and freed blacks lived in quarters such as these. Even large families with 10 to 12 members would have resided here. In 1992, it was relocated from nearby Olney, Maryland which is just west of us. The logs date back to circa 1850.
