1. Gustavus Adolphus Holland Marker
Inscription. A teacher in his native Kentucky, G.A. Holland came to Parker County in 1882, settling in Poolville. In addition to teaching school, Holland also served as Postmaster and Justice of the Peace. He later served as County Tax Collector, Weatherford school board member, President of Citizens National Bank, and Mayor of Weatherford. He published a history of Parker County in the 1930s. Married to the former Genareo Wynn, Holland was the father of six children.
