1. Submarine Hill Marker
Inscription. Submarine Hill has long been an important part of Florida history. During World War II, the US Coast Guard kept watch for German U-Boats from this high vantage point. Today, the hill provides a scenic view that allows us to see and celebrate the Sunshine State’s coastal wildlife.

In the winter, North Atlantic right whales - often with newborn calves - come so close to shore that you can see them without binoculars. (Please help our conservation efforts by notifying a Marineland team member if you see a right whale.) In the springtime, keep your eyes out for manta rays. And year round, enjoy spotting dolphins, sharks, and a variety of birds.

Climb the steps and enjoy the view!
