1. Ocala National Bank Marker
Inscription.
Constructed in 1911, it was the first granite building in Ocala. It served as the most prominent financial institution and was located on the most prestigious corner in the city.

Regarding Ocala National Bank. By the end of the first decade of the century, several miles of cement sidewalks had been laid on the main business streets and additional walks were being laid. A need arose for additional banking facilities. The Citizens Bank and the Ocala National Bank were established. An attractive Neo-Classical building of Indiana limestone was built in 1911 for the Ocala National Bank.

This granite building was constructed in 1911. The bank closed in 2009 during the financial crisis. It is a contributing building on the National Register of Historic Places and a part of the Ocala Historic Commercial District.
