Inscription. John McCulloch, the son of Alexander and Mary Steenbergen McCulloch, and his wife Adelia A. Byres built their family home in 1874 he was a director of the Merchants National Bank and in 1878 was elected president of the bank. Mrs. McCulloch was a fluent writer and contributor to historical publications.
