Inscription.
Clemons Tower. . The clock tower, affectionately known as the "light house on the hill", was constructed in 1899 where the bell had rung from the top of the Administration building. Several years later in 1953, Roy Clemons was hired by President Harry Heflin to work at Glenville State College. For 39 years he was responsible for winding the clock and maintaining it. The bell was removed in 2010 and relocated to this display area. In honor of his time spent caring for the bell, Glenville State College Classified Staff Council elected to dedicate the Bell House Building to Mr. Clemons, naming it Clemons Tower.
