1. Elks Club Marker
Inscription. The Elks Club was a favorite venue for dancing the Jitterbug, Lindy Hop and the Peckin' dances that were an integral part of the 1930's nightlife. Alton Redd and the Seven Pards of Pepper, Sammy Franklin and the California Rhythm Rascals and Jack Mc Vea and the Kings of Rhythm performed at the Elks Club. The price of a dance cost a whopping ten cents.
