1. Ethiopia Marker
Inscription. Beginning in June 1951, Ethiopia furnished three 1,200-man battalions to the UN Command, the 1st Kagnew Battalion, 2nd Kagnew Battalion and 3rd Kagnew Battalion. The first of these battalions arrived in May 1951 and was assigned to the U.S. 7th Infantry Division. 140 of these men were killed in action and 536 men were wounded in action.
