1. Wreck Train Chain Marker
Inscription. This big chain (1” links x 50’ long) was probably used by the Wreck Train to pull derailed equipment back closer to the track. Once a wrecked car was close enough, the “Big Hook” crane could grab it and lift it back on the tracks or onto a waiting flat car to haul it away.

Donated by Joe McCann of Maysville, in honor of his mother Jane, and his father Joseph U., a retired Bessemer dispatcher with 37 years of service.
