Above — the Betsy Ross Tea Room, located at 16 Broadway was founded by Nick Orphan, who occupied several shops on Broadway.

Left — the famed Leeser's Shoe Store was established in 1940 at 18 Broadway. Francis "Doc" Leeser is on the left with his two sons John, center, and Ray, on the right.

Above left — Lamprinos TV, located at the corner of Broadway and Elm, was founded in 1954 by Gregory Lamprinos.

Above right — 1380 WMLP AM Radio DJs — "JJ" Jim Jacobs, Paul Herbert, Bill Stutzaman, and Bob Michaels. The station was founded in 1955 and was originally located on the second floor of the YMCA building.

Above — The Broadway Hardware Store founded in 1902 by W. H. Straub.

Below — Beachel’s Taxi Service, owned by Elston Beachel, was located west of the Capitol.

Above — The Coup Agency was founded in 1926. It has been located at its present location since 1948, although it originally only occupied the western half of the building.
