North Platte in Lincoln County, Nebraska — The American Midwest (Upper Plains)
Dick Neve Barber Shop
The building, mirrors on the back wall, rack on west side, and the smaller barber pole were those of Dick Neve.
Both barber chairs, hat rack, the shelf and sterilizers, and the larger barber pole were those of Ernest Schwartz, shoe shop was south of the Railroad tracks, and very good friend of Dick's.
The smaller items, such as razors, shaving mugs, razor straps, apron, and lotions belonged to Dick and his brothers, Bill and Ernest Schwartz. The shoe shine chair came from the Hirschfeld Store.
The building was moved from the 800 block on North Jeffers to the Museum in 1992. At that time, the building was owned by Dick Neve (deceased), but was donated to the Museum by his son from Denver, Colorado.
