1. Simmons Hotel, 1906 Marker
Inscription. This three-story brick structure consists of a composition roof with an eighteen-inch parapet on top. It was constructed in close conjunction with the nearly identical building next to it. The first floor has been used for stores, consisting of a wallpaper and paint store, a grocer and a furniture store, to name a few. The upper two floors have been used as a hotel, with names such as the Burbank, the Prescott and the Hotel North.
