Inscription. Holding true to its name, the Produce Market building has been the home to various produce companies. One of its more notable proprietors was the Nason Sales Company. They were the first company to import bananas into San Diego directly from Honolulu. The building is representative of mid-twentieth century warehouses. Its appearance has been kept up so well that no renovations were required during Gaslamp's revitalization.

Erected by Gaslamp Quarter. (Marker Number 82.)
