1. Philippines Marker
Inscription. The Philippine Islands was among the first U.N. countries to send forces to fight in Korea. From September 1950 through May 1955, 7,500 men known as known as the Philippine Expeditionary Force to Korea were sent to serve in the five 1,500-man Battalion Combat Teams, the 10th Battalion Combat Team, the 20th Battalion Combat Team, the 19th Battalion Combat Team, the 14th Battalion Combat Team, and the 2nd Battalion Combat Team. Among these 7,500 men, 92 were killed in action and 356 men were wounded.
