1. New Zealand Marker
Inscription.  After some debate on July 26, 1950, the New Zealand government announced it would organize a volunteer military force to serve with U.N. forces in Korea. Known as Kayforce, a total of 1,044 men were seletied to serve. Kayforce sailed for Korea on December 10, 1950 aboard the "Ormande" arriving in Pusan on December 31, 1950. In July, 1951, Kayforce became part of the newly formed Commonwealth Division. Kayforce returned home to New Zealand in 1955
