Standing side-by-side are the flag of the United States of America and the Republic of Vietnam Heritage and Freedom flag. Honoring the joint sacrifice of the South Vietnamese and American Armed Forces in the defense of freedom. This monument is a testament to the resilience of the Vietnamese people and also honors those who died during the war or the brutal repression that followed the fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975.
